Day 1: BORDEAUX / GAILLAC (300 km)

Formalities for motorcycle delivery in our local office.

Road to South-East by the Bordeaux vineyard of the Grave and Entre-deux-mers.

We leave the vineyards of Bordeaux to get into the one of Southwest and specifically the oldest vineyard in France, Gaillac.

The must Gaillac reminds to the wine lovers the southwestern lands, the variety of names (red, rosé, white, sweet, sparkling, beaded ...), and for the connoisseurs, a history that dates back to the first century, when the Gallo-Romans began to cultivate this vineyard. In this infinitely large (the vineyard extends over 70 villages), the quality and Gaillac's trademark, however, based on detailed and accurate methods, the result of know-how built and handed over several centuries.

The Southwest is a major tourist region where gastronomy has a great reputation. Foie gras, cassoulet, chicken casserole, confits ... are all recipes that combine flavor, quality and authenticity.


Day 2:    GAILLAC / PRADES
(260 km)       

Departure to the Corbieres massif that connects the Mediterranean Sea to the Pyrenees.

Throughout the day you will have the opportunity to see many Cathar castles, sentinels of stone, silent witnesses of the military past of the Corbières.

Any points of crossing from north to south are controlled by a set of castles: Peyrepertuse, Quéribus, Puilaurens, Aguilar, Termes, etc. The earliest known masters are the Counts of Roussillon followed the house Trencavel.

The Corbières are also known for their vineyards

You risk nothing. Except falling in love with this southern land, lilting accent and its winegrowers with an ingrained authenticity.

Roads Corbieres take you to the pretty town of Prades, Conflent capital, natural region of the Eastern Pyrenees at the foot of Mount Canigou.

The famous cellist Pablo Casals also contributed to the reputation of Prades.


Day 3: PRADES / LUCHON
(295 km)

Ready to go for the first stage in the heart of the Pyrenees.

To warm up, you start with the Puymorens pass 1920 meters.

You will leave (temporarily) France for Andorra.

This is one of the smallest sovereign states in Europe.

After going through the "Pas de la Casa" high place of "shopping" for border,
You attack the highest road pass in the Pyrenees. The Port d'Envalira with its 2409 meters.

Passage through Andorra la Vella, capital where you can stop before leaving in the direction of Val d'Aran.

The 33 villages that are part of Aran form a set of an ancient flavor where stone, wood and slate blend with the beauty of the intense nature of its mountainous vicinity. All these villages have their own characteristics that fall in their towers and steeples.


Back in France and drive to your step in a two thousand year old city nicknamed "the Queen of the Pyrenees", which prides itself on having the oldest spa in the Pyrenees...
Bagnères-de-Luchon.

The busiest station in the Pyrenees, is a thermal resort doubled from a ski resort



Day 4: LUCHON / VALLEE D’OSSAU

A new day with beautiful landscapes and twisty mountain roads with the mythic Passes of Tour de France, Peyresourde, Aspin, Tourmalet. Fortunately, you are on bike ...

Peyresourde 1569 m you will climb 950 m in just 13 km
Aspin 1489 m you will climb 780 m in just 12 km The Tourmalet 2115 you climb 1268 m in 17 km.

After these passes that made the finest hours of the Tour de France in the Pyrenees, you will discover as a jewel in a case, the Gavarnie circus.


One word comes to mind: Grandiose!


You are at the heart of the Pyrenees National Park. There, straddling the Spanish-French border, stands the Mont Perdu which exceeds 3000 m.

Since 1997, this collection of over 30 000 hectares is a World Heritage by UNESCO, both for its natural and cultural richness. Only 27 sites in the world have to this day such recognition.

You are in front of the prodigious wall 1,700 meters high and 14 kilometers in circumference. This orchestration of concentric steps in a striking symmetry is framed by a procession of giants: Mont Perdu (3352m), Peak Marboré (3248m), Taillon (3144m) and the renowned Roland breach, place of so many legends. You can see Europe's largest waterfall with 413 m free fall.


Day 5: OSSAU VALLEY / SANGUESA
(210 km)

New tour outside of France, it is in Spain you will spend the day with completely different landscapes.

Direction North Bardenas


The Pyrenean Mountains so close, were gradually cleared to give way to vast arid and inhospitable land.
Strange land, pure product of erosion, geological anomaly stuck true to the Pyrenees, the Bardenas Reales are a land of escape par excellence.

Monasteries and stone villages will be the backdrop for your journey today.

One night in a medieval city of Aragon will be ideal to end your day and refresh yourself with a wine from neighboring Navarre.



Day 6:  SANGUESA / CAMBO les BAINS
(150 km)

North Direction to return to France where new sights await you.

« Ongi Ettori » Welcome to Pays Basque.


You will leave the High Pyrenees to discover the beauties of the Basque Country slightly less steep but with singular panoramas.


From the perspective of gastronomy, the Basque Country is a tourist destination of the first order. Coastal and border community, whose wealth and culinary diversity are due to a mixture of marine customs and mountaineers, but also the uniqueness of the Basque people, so proud of its traditions, lover of gastronomy, around which structure much of social life.


Proceed to your day's stage. Cambo les Bains.

Known since the middle ages for its healing waters, Cambo les Bains was frequented by the greatest, both for its thermal activity, but also early twentieth to the reputation of its institutions of convalescence and care for respiratory diseases.



Day  7: CAMBO les BAINS / BORDEAUX
(230 km)

Farewell Mountain roads towards the Atlantic coast and the Basque coast.

The turns are less and less pronounced according to approach the Landes forest.

The Landes of Gascogne forest is a forest with an area of almost one million hectares, is the largest artificial forest of Western Europe.


Drive back to Bordeaux

Arrival late in the afternoon and motorcycle drop off.


Day 8: BORDEAUX

Back to your home, it is time to say Goodbye…
