Short formalities for your bike rental then road to Biarritz.

You will cross the Landes forest.

The Landes de Gascogne forest is a forest with an area of almost one million hectares (2 471 055 acre), is the largest artificial forest of Western Europe.

Just before Bayonne you enter in the Basque country in the province of Labourd.

Arrival in Biarritz, walking along the sea front or on the top of the Biarritz lighthouse.

Road to St Jean Pied-de-Port.

This is the last step on the way to Saint Jacques de Compostela and the vital center of the Lower Navarre.

Thousands years of history have shaped the city Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port, often called the "little Basque Venice ", giving it a force to maintain and remain authentic.

Beautiful mountain roads to Esterençuby Lecumberry and before ascending to Saint Palais and Salies de Bearn.


Youwill  join The Bastide Clairence by scenic country roads.

This fortified village founded in 1314 by the King of Navarre for access to the river system of the Adour, is one of the jewels of the Basque Country.  Around the village, beautiful roads offer bucolic walks to the Abbey of Belloc.

You cross the Adour and leave the Basque country.

Crossing the Landes take you late in the afternoon in Bordeaux and bike drop off.
